The very best thing about narcissus in my garden is… deer don’t eat them! Well, smart deer don’t eat them, sometimes fawns will give them a try.

Why plant dozens of different varieties of narcissus this fall? Well, apart from the beauty they bring to the garden in spring, they give you the most fantastic indoor bouquets.

About hortophile

I am a very opinionated, slightly obsessed gardener with decades of experience in the retail nursery industry. A lucky resident of the "Wet Coast" of British Columbia I tread a muddy path between practicality and beauty, with my veggie patch, herb garden and fruits vying for position with the beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers that I can't resist. DON'T ask me to choose between them! I believe in environmental responsibility and common sense.

The narcissus is such a pretty little flower, I love your photo.
Unfortunately, they don’t grow in our climate, so your photo is all the more special to me as they remind me of growing up in the UK.
